Membership

ALA Capital Chapter members have access to networking opportunities, continuing education, legal resources, mentorship programs, and leadership opportunities.

Membership dues are $275 per year, Chapter members must be members of ALAClick on the button below and register as a new user; select Regular Membership in the drop-down menu.

Secondary Membership: ALA Members who have a primary membership with another Chapter but have an interest in Capital Chapter membership for access to networking, resources and programming. Dues are $100 (discounted to $25 for 2026).  Click on the button below and register as a new user; select Secondary Membership in the drop-down menu.

  • Member-wide and community-specific e-lists to solicit feedback, advice, and recommendations
  • Access to searchable directories for members and Business Partners 

Education

  • No fee to attend education sessions, lunchtime events presented by Business Partners and other industry leaders on topical subjects related to legal administration

Events

  • No fee to attend networking events, including Spring Social, Business Partner Appreciation, Wine Tasting, and a reception at the National Conference 
  • No fee to attend hallmark Chapter luncheons, including Annual Meeting, Change of Gavel, and Toni K. Allen Scholarship presentation

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Join a committee or explore board of directors opportunities; secondary members are not eligible to join committee or the board.
  • Share your expertise, and learn from others, via targeted communities (DEI, Legal Ops & Human Resources)
