Accounting Manager: Hobbs, Straus, Dean & Walker, LLP, is seeking a full-time Accounting Manager at its Washington, DC Office. Hobbs Straus is a national law firm dedicated to promoting and defending the interests of Indian tribal governments and organizations.
The candidate will work closely with the firm’s Financial Partner and the Office Administrator in its Washington, DC, Portland, OR and Oklahoma City, OK offices and is responsible for supervising or performing accounting activities, which may include financial reporting, timekeeping, billing, trust accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, etc. In addition, the candidate is responsible for working closely with outside accountants throughout the year and particularly at year-end.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be familiar with the Orion Law Financial Management system or similar law firm time and billing system, and general ledger accounting systems.
Education and experience requirements: At least an associate’s degree in accounting and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Law firm experience preferred but experience with time and billing accounting system required.
Classification: Full Time, Exempt
