Position Summary: Provide administrative support to the Legal Recruiting manager and administrative functions for the recruiting efforts of the D.C. office, including professional development initiatives. Provide administrative support to the Sr. Manager of the Antitrust Practice Group to execute short-term business development and marketing-related responsibilities, including processing of department’s client bills. Assist with various events for both managers.

 Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:

 Recruiting/Professional Development Support: 

  • Data Entry (viDesktop): enter all candidate information into database; manage on-line application process
  • Assist Recruiting Manager with the preparation of interviewing materials for fall on-campus recruiting
  • Assist with planning, implementing and attending summer program events
  • Assist in the organization of the lateral and student recruiting process, summer associate program and new associate orientation
  • Serve as an ambassador of the Firm with candidates, summer associates, law school administration and vendors
  • Assist Recruiting Manager with setting up in-house attorney training programs
  • Schedule conference rooms/coordinate breakfast, lunch orders
  • Track internal Continuing Legal Education (CLE) attendance and prepare documentation for Virginia CLE application
  • Maintain and update mentoring assignment spreadsheet

 Antitrust Business Development & Practice Group Support:

  • Provide administrative support for the client billing process; there is a strong emphasis on proofing
  • Assist and coordinate attorney website and pitch bio updates
  • Assist with creating pitch materials as well as updating “off the shelf” business development materials
  • Assist with tracking/gathering antitrust specific deals for Firm-wide corporate deal database
  • Assist with updating mailing and event lists
  • Assist with directory and award submissions
  • Assist with the planning and execution of external events, in particular, the annual ABA Antitrust Spring Meeting reception and the bi-annual Antitrust Practice Group retreat
  • Coordinate internal events and meetings for antitrust group (e.g. practice group lunches and happy hours)
  • Process expense reports and invoices for payment
  • Assist in the tracking and review of practice group expenses
  • Any other responsibilities or projects as assigned by Manager

 Miscellaneous 

  • Coordinate AMEX backup for monthly corporate credit card; submit for expense reimbursement for managers supported; process expense reports and invoices for payment and track department expenses
  • Assist the Recruiting Manager in coordinating periodic office attorney lunches, office TGIFs, Holiday Party and other events as they arise
  • Assist Recruiting Manager with Firm sporting event tickets distribution
  • Any other responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office 2016
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Punctual and reliable

 

 Education/Certifications: 

  • 4 year college degree
