Education Session: Master Employee Onboarding with Thoughtful IT
Thursday, February 26, 2026, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM EST
Category: Members Only

This event is Zoom only. This event is open to Capital Chapter members, other ALA members, and prospective members.

One of the quickest ways to tarnish a new associate’s perception of your firm is to throw them into a sloppy technology setup.

After providing IT support to law firms for 34 years, we’ve become intimately familiar with employee onboarding—and how technology will make or break the experience. As top talent becomes more and more difficult to attract and retain, mastering this process becomes mission-critical.

To help give your new hires an overwhelmingly positive start to their tenure we’ve compiled the most important lessons we’ve learned from our experience.

Speakers

Heinan Landa founded Optimal Networks, a premium IT services firm, in 1991. With Master's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins and an MBA from Wharton, Heinan is uniquely positioned to approach technology from a business perspective.

Chris Abel has served numerous consulting and law firms in a CIO capacity over the past two decades. He is a creative problem solver who addresses each challenge with proactive, sustainable solutions that include easy-to-replicate processes, preventative measures, and training systems.
