N Street Village Gifts for Mom Program
N Street Village empowers homeless and low-income women to claim their highest quality of life by offering a broad spectrum of services and advocacy in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.N Street Village, located at 13th and N Streets, NW has been serving the neediest women and children of Washington, DC since 1973. The N Street Village Gifts for Mom Program provides homeless and low-income mothers with gifts for their children during the holiday season. For several years the Chapter has assisted N Street Village in their efforts to collect gifts for the Gifts for Mom Program.

Just before the holidays each year Chapter members, their firms, and our business partners purchase new toys and gifts for the N Street Village Toy Store. The Toy Store is then opened to the mothers and grandmothers who come to select that perfect gift for their child or grandchild. After the gifts are selected, the women wrap the gifts thus allowing them to feel ownership of the item. Each year, the goal is to stock the Toy Store with over 1,000 gifts that are suitable for infants and children up to 18 years old. Gifts and contributions from Chapter volunteers play a vital role in helping the Gifts for Mom Program come together each year.
The Gifts for Mom Program also offers opportunities for members and business partners to give of their time. Volunteers are needed to help decorate N Street Village with Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanza decorations, sort and organize the gifts, set-up the Toy Store, and assist the women with wrapping their gifts.
