President's Message

This year marks the 40th anniversary of ALA, and the 39th of the Capital Chapter. This is quite an accomplishment any way you look at it, and the result of a lot of hard work by many dedicated individuals and members!! I am honored, along with our Executive Committee and Leadership Team, to be included among such a group of fine people.

Our focus this year will be to continue to build upon the good work of many of our past President's, and highlight some of the benefits of ALA and our Chapter. Specifically, 1) Strengthening the cohesion of our Chapter, 2) Enhancing professional development opportunities, and 3) Heightening our awareness of the availability of ALA and Chapter resources.

We hope you will help us continue to move the Chapter forward in order to meet the needs of our members and adapt to the ongoing changes in the legal industry. Please share with us your thoughts or ideas by contacting me or any member of the Executive Committee or Leadership Team.
