Capital Chapter Angel Tree Program
Help
Others This Holiday Season
The Salvation Army Angel
Tree Program, started in 1985, provides gifts of clothing/shoes/toys
for children of the neediest families designated by
The Salvation Army to receive assistance. Those who
buy gifts for needy children feel the joy that comes
from unselfish, sacrificial giving. At the same time,
children who might not otherwise receive presents are
treated to new clothing, toys, and the reassurance that
someone cares.
The ALA Capital Chapter is the number one organization in adopting children through this program. In 2005, the Capital Chapter adopted an excess of 1200 children. This year we have exceeded our goal of 1300 by adopting 1500 children.
